She is an Investment Advisor Representative with Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp. and has earned the Certified Estate Planner designation. She also holds the FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, 2, and 26 securities registrations as well as Life Insurance, Disability and Long Term Care Insurance licenses.

An avid sailboat racer, she served on the Board of Directors for Anacapa Yacht Club for four years and is also an active member in her community's South Bank Community Council.

Her inclination to help others caused her to spend several months working in villages in Africa, contributing books and sports equipment to the village schools. In 2004, she made her first trip to Cambodia and Vietnam where she worked with land mine victims and most particularly, the bereft children who live in Steung Meanchey, otherwise known as the Phnom Penh garbage dump. As a result of her efforts, she was asked to serve on the Board of Directors of the Cambodian Children's Funds, a position she held for 5 years. She regularly visits the three girls she found living in the garbage dump, Hoeum, Horn, and Meas Saras, and after becoming their sponsor, they are now three healthy and happy girls living and attending school at the CCF.
